Step 2: Assign Control Numbers

Once you create Informative Returns on Step one, it is necessary to assign the control numbers provided by Hacienda.

1. From the Print/Preview section, select Informative (480s). The Print 480's window is displayed.

2. Select the company from the Companies list.

If the No Control Numbers available message displays, go to the Informatives tab to enter the numbers. Then, the Assign button will display.

3. On step 2, click .
4. If you need to remove control numbers currently assigned, click .

5. If you need to edit control numbers, delete a contractor from the printing list, or mark a contractor as printed (completed), continue on Step 3: Edit 480s Before Printing. Otherwise, continue on Step 4: Preview 480s.
6. To exit the Print 480's window, click Close.
